Board of Education Special Board Meeting

Grant Public Schools March 10, 2008

The Board of Education of the Grant Public Schools met in special session on Monday, March 10, 2008 with President, Dave Robinson presiding.

Board Members Present: Dave Robinson, President; Jim Stuart, Vice President; Jill Niewiadomski, Secretary; Kris Lesley, Treasurer; Jon Chase, Bob Jenema, and Paul Roberts, Trustees.	MEMBERS PRESENT
Administrators Present: Scott Bogner, Superintendent; John Klever, Learning Center Director	ADMINISTRATORS PRESENT
Others Present: Kathi Thornton & student’s mother	OTHERS PRESENT
President, Dave Robinson, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
The parent of the student being charged asked the board that the meeting proceed in closed session. Motion by Bob Jenema, supported by Kris Lesley, to go into closed session for the reason of an expulsion hearing.	CLOSED SESSION
Motion Approved 7-0
Motion by Jill Niewiadomski, supported by Jim Stuart, to reconvene into open session for rendering a decision.	OPEN SESSION
Motion Approved 7-0
Motion by Paul Roberts, supported by Kris Lesley, to permanently expel said student from Grant Public Schools for being in possession of a dangerous weapon.
Motion Approved 7-0
There being no further business before the Board President Dave Robinson entertained a motion for adjournment. Motion by Paul Roberts supported by Jill Niewiadomski to adjourn the meeting.
