The Board of Education of the Grant Public Schools met in a special workshop on Monday, April 30, 2007, with President, Dave Robinson presiding.

 

Board Members Present: Dave Robinson, President; Jim Stuart, Vice President; Kris Lesley, Secretary; Bob Jenema, Treasurer; Jon Chase, Jill Niewiadomski, and Paul Roberts Trustees.

President, Dave Robinson, called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m.  

 

 

Motion by Bob Jenema, supported by Jim Stuart, to approve the agenda as presented.

Randi Simons of 2295 E. 132nd St. spoke on behalf of music teacher, Ben Rodgers.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

 

 

Scott Bogner, Superintendent, provided the board with a list of proposed cuts for the upcoming school year.  The necessity for these cuts was facilitated by the failure of other expenditure reduction measures, coupled with a loss of over 100 students.  Additionally, there is a projection of an additional student enrollment loss for 2007/2008.

There being no further business before the Board, President Dave Robinson declared the meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
