SEVERE THREAT-RED LEVEL-IMMINENT RISK
A terrorist attack has occurred or credible and corroborated intelligence indicates that one is imminent.  Normally, this treat condition is declared for a specific location or critical facility.  Districts will be in contact with emergency management officials to determine if schools are targeted.  If this alert is issued during the school day, students will complete the day and normal transportation will be provided unless schools are advised otherwise by emergency management officials.  Before-and after-school activities will be cancelled.

 

HIGH TREAT-ORANGE LEVEL-HIGH RISK
Credible intelligence indicates that there is a high risk of a local terrorist attack but a specific target has not been identified.  Districts will be in contact with emergency management officials to determine if schools are a potential target.  Schools will remain open.  Before-and after-school activities will be conducted unless schools are advised otherwise by emergency management officials.


ELEVATED THREAT-YELLOW LEVEL-ELEVATED RISK
Elevated risk of terrorist attack but a specific region of the USA or target has not been identified.  Schools will be in contact with emergency management officials and will prepare to take appropriate precautions. to ensure student safety.

GUARDED THREAT-BLUE LEVEL-GENERAL RISK
General risk with no credible threats to specific targets.

 


LOW THREAT-GREEN LEVEL-LOW RISK
Low risk of terrorism.  Routine security is implemented to preclude routine criminal threats.

 

Please watch local media for school closing information in the event of a Severe Threat-Red Level.  Review information provided by your local school district regarding emergency closing procedures and transportation.  If your emergency information has changed, please provide correct information to your child's school district.
