HOMEWORK

Our school is participating in the West Michigan Whitecaps 2008 Reading Club .  The goal of the program is to encourage reading and provide an exciting incentive for students.   During the month of March, students are to read for 450 minutes, or just 15 minutes a day.

     This is how it works:

  1. For every 15 minutes read, each student is to have their parents initialize a space on his or her Reading Club bookmark so progress can be easily tracked.

  2. Once all spaces on bookmark have been initialized, bring back the completed bookmark and show it to the classroom teacher.

  3. Upon completion of the Reading Club program your child will receive a Reading Club Ticket Voucher from his or her teacher for you to fill-out.  Bring this Ticket Voucher along with your student's completed bookmark to the Whitecaps box office (or redeem by mail) to receive your child's two FREE tickets.  The voucher is valid through April 7th to June 10th, 2008.

  4. You may also remove the bottom portion of your child's bookmark and redeem it at a Bob Evans for a Free Kids Meal.

Be sure to register at any Farm Bureau Insurance agent's office in the area for a chance to be a bat boy or bat girl for a Whitecaps baseball game.
