Taking A Test

There are 7 steps to STAR Reading testing:

1. The teacher in charge of the test session explains the test using the Pre-Test Instructions and provides a basic orientation for the students.

2. The test monitor starts the STAR Reading Student Program.

3. The first student selects his or her name from the list of students and enters a password if it is required.

4. The teacher monitoring the test enters a password if it is required.

5. The student goes through a short practice session to become familiar with the test format. The student must correctly answer three practice questions to go on to the actual test.

6. When the student completes the practice session, the actual test begins. When the student completes the test, the next student logs in and the sequence starts over again.

7. When all of the students have finished testing, the teacher in charge of the test session exits the program.
