TIGER FOOTBALL

"We will play with great effort and compete as long as there is time on the clock"

APRIL NEWSLETTER

The weather is starting to get nicer each day which can only mean one thing- football is right around the corner.  It might not seem that way to everyone, but  Most of Our Varsity Players Can Hardly Wait for that first day of pads.

We have had a great offseason up to this point, especially from our upcoming juniors and seniors ( Next Years JV Players have been MIA for the most part, with the exception of Jake Mikula).  Eric Evans, one of our captains,  has been leading the guys the entire off-season and doing a great job. We have been asking for a high level of dedication out of everyone this year and these players haven’t let us down.  Im very excited with our effort thus far and if it continues, as Im sure it will, look for the Tigers to do great things this fall.

Now that we are down to less than 150 days until our opening game ( 142 to be exact) we need to get out some reminders and information to everyone.  Along with this newletter, you will see our entire off-sesaon calander.  We will continue to get information out each month from now until the season begins. The players can also get announcements and updates at the weight room sessions. Finally, as always, you can get info from the football website:

Key Reminders for May and June:

·          The School will have Physicals available sometime in May.  Be sure to try and get yours done at this time.  Everyone MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL if they plan on playing!

·          The Weight Room will be open twice a day, 3 times a week in the summer. You should attend one time each day.

·          We want to encourage any Offensive Lineman to attend the Muskegon Oakridge camp on June 13th.  We would like to have ALL Varsity Lineman attend if possible and any underclassmen as well. We have fliers at the weight room sessions!

·          Please remember:  If you don’t keep your grades up and fail more than 1 class during this trimester…you will miss 8 FOOTBALL GAMES NEXT FALL.  HIT THE BOOKS BOYS!

          GO TIGERS!

SPRING SPORTS:

Be sure to catch our players in action this spring as well.  We have several players competing in track, baseball and tennis.  Eric Evans is leading a group of about 6 varsity football players at track meets.  Josh Hudon, another captain is leading about 4 football players in baseball action too – Plus its our Special Forces Coach- Josh Trembley 1st year as the Tigers Varsity Baseball Coach…Gotta love it! Finally, we have about 2 other players in the program who will be involved in tennis. Be sure to get out and show your support to these guys and the rest of the Tiger Athletes after Spring Break!  Good Luck To Everyone Involved.

VARSITY PARENTS/PLAYERS
