Grant Band is off to a great start already this year preparing
for festivals and other great events! The band has updated the

The website has now been updated.
If you have any pictures from band camp
or the 2009 competitive season, please let me know so I can post
those on this site! I can also use them for the 2009 Season DVD Thank you so much!

A music store in Grand Rapids has
gone out of business. The auction is February 13. Here is a link
to the items that you might want to look at. There are
instruments of every kind on the auction block. It's worth a
look. Most items will start at $5.00!

12/17/08:
Congrats to all the bands that
performed at last nights concert - you all did an amazing job.
Thank you to the parents that re-arranged their schedule to make
both concerts happen last night. Everything went very smoothly -
thank you and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
11/3/08:
Congrats to the HS marching band
placing 5th at the MCBA State Finals! The marching band banquet
will take place next Monday the 10th. This is for staff,
students and parents.

Congrats to the HS marching band
on making state for the second straight year! I am very proud of
your hard work - keep going strong - top five here we come!
10/15/08:
Our last football game is this
Friday! Come and support the band in the last performance at
home! We will be competiting at Jenison this Saturday evening at
5:30 PM. This is a huge performance and we need to do well here
in order to lock in our spot at state this year! We need
everyone to come out and cheer for the marching band! Hope to
see you there! The schedule for the day and next weekend is
posted on the home page. If you have trouble reading it, let me

Good
morning!
I am carefully watching the weather for
tonight's game. If we are going to get rained on - we will need
to be prepared to wear the summer uniform. Please be sure to
bring this with you just in case. Please forward this message to
everyone and anyone who is not on the mailing list. We have too
many games and performances for the uniforms to get wet and
soaked for the coming weeks.
Please still plan on having pictures taken at 4:30 PM today.
If you have any questions, I am at the MS in the morning and
the HS this afternoon.
See you at 3 pm SHARP for rehearsal!
8/26/08:
We have our first football game
two days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Grant Band wants to wish Mr.
Mosley the best of luck as he moves on to work at Muskegon
Public Schools. He will be missed and his work will not be
forgotten. Thank you Mr. Mosley! We start at 3 pm on Thursday!
8/22/08:
This is the last weekend before
the marching band really starts going - we have our first parade
tomorrow - first football game next Thursday. The marching band
has been doing an amazing job so far and we look forward to a
great season. This page will be updated on a regular basis - we
slacked off during the summer with this! Thanks for all the
support parents - we couldn't do this without you!

10/23/07:
The marching band is very close to
making state finals! This weekend, we will be competing at
Reeths-Puffer High School. For us to qualify for state, we need
to beat or come close to Comstock Park HS. They have a great
show - which means we have to have an even better show! If we do
not beat them, we have to wait for the scores from the east side
of the state to come for us to know. We will notify everyone by
this website, mass e-mail and possibly phone calls home. Come
out and support the marching band as we go for our goal of
making it to the MCBA State finals!

We have a new way to raise money
for doing something that you already do! It's called
