Teachers and Support Staff

Building Bridges preschool teachers hold an Elementary Teaching Certificate along with an Early Childhood Endorsement (ZA). The Family Independence Agency certifies each as a Program Director. All classrooms will have one teacher and at least one assistant to ensure a staff ratio of one adult to eight children. The classroom assistant holds a Child Development Credential or 120 hours of State approved early childhood training.

The community education paid program requires that teachers hold a CDA and have several years of experience with young children. If you would like more information on their qualifications, you may contact The Neway Center.

The preschool program also has the advantage of professional staffing from the Newaygo County Intermediate School District. We often have the following staff working with children in the building throughout the week:

Special Education Teacher

Teacher Consultant

Psychologist

Occupational Therapist

Speech Pathologists
