Welcome to the Grant Lions Club Homepage! Please take a look around and see if Lionism is for you. One of the hallmarks of good communities is community service. Our motto is :
The Grant Lions club is part of the Lions Club of Michigan and Lions Clubs International, the largest service organization in the world. The Grant Lions Club has been an active part of the Grant Community and Newaygo County for over 25 years. Although our primary mission is the conservation of sight and hearing, we also sponsor a wide variety of community activities. Indeed, you local Lions Club helps reach most every charitable need within our community, either with direct service or through donations of time, talent and resources.
The Grant Lions are people like you. They are people who care about the community in which they live and the quality of life of all its residents. They are people of all walks of life; merchants, farmers, educators and tradesmen. They are young people, retirees, family and single people. They are people who believe in the spirit of the small town of Grant, but whose vision of caring and commitment caries over into the larger community. Doesn't this describe a person like you?
The Lions of Grant are committed to community
service and the preservation of sight and hearing. To this end we have a
number of projects. You have undoubtedly participated in some of them.
You know those great fish, chicken and spaghetti dinners held
throughout the year at Grant Middle School -- Lions Club. The White Cane
drive held each Spring -- Lions Club again. The U.S. flags that are
displayed all over town on special days and the road cleanups from 128th to
116th streets -- Yes, the Grant Lions.
In addition, the club has mints for sale in many area
businesses. We collect and donate used or no longer wanted eye glasses and
hearing aides to be refurbished and distributed to the needy in other
areas. We also cooperate and participate with other charitable
organizations to help the sick, down and out, and those in desperate need during
times of emergency.

A community is often judged by such things as
its schools, parks, recreation areas and its service organizations. The
Lions want to do its share in making our community one in which we can all take
pride. A community is like a ships crew, everyone needs to pull together
to make headway. It was once said, "I wondered why somebody
didn't do something; then I realized that I was that somebody."
Are you that somebody? The Lions need you. We
need your spirit, your energy, your ideas. We need you to help continue to
make our community a great place to live and raise our families. You will
find that the moments that stand out in your life are the moments when you have
done things for others.
