Tiger Athletics
Participation in team and individual sports not only promotes a feeling of family and belonging, but it allows students to develop themselves physically and emotionally. Students gain strength and athletics skills and have the opportunity to develop leadership skills while learning the art of good sportsmanship and fair play.
We are part of the Central State Activities Association and follow all rulings and guidelines put forth by CSAA. Our conference includes Big Rapids, Fremont, Hesperia, Holton, Howard City Tri-County, Kent City, Lakeview, Morley Stanwood, Newaygo, Reed City, Remus Chippewa Hills, Stanton Central Montcalm, and White Cloud.
Eligibility
Before and during participations, all student athletes must be eligible according to the rules of Michigan High School Athletics Association. They must also demonstrate academic accountability by submitting to weekly grade checks starting the second week of each semester. All student athletes must be passing five of their six classes each week, and they must pass four of the six classes each semester.
Physicals
Students must complete an annual physical to ensure they are healthy enough for participation before beginning team practices. We occasionally offer $10 physicals and free concussion testing on campus (during school hours). Ask your coach for more information.
