FINE ARTS CENTER USE RESOURCES

This 792-seat facility serves the needs of our community with state-of-the-art audio, lighting, and video capabilities. The GFAC is the perfect venue for community meetings, musical performances, lectures, theatrical performances, religious services, seminars, and a variety of other events. Grant Public Schools sits in the friendly city of Grant, Michigan. Our close-knit community offers a friendly, supportive atmosphere to residents and visitors alike.

Grant City Events

Many fun events take place within our city limits. Join us in walking for autism, a Halloween trunk-or-treat, an Easter egg hunt, Christmas with Santa, plus much more. Life is great in Grant! 

LionHeart Productions - Community Theatre
Visit LionHeart Productions for family-friendly, quality entertainment. Our all-volunteer productions have given many local artists their start on the path to fame and provided our local theatre experts valuable training and experience behind the scenes.

The Grant Fine Arts Center (GFAC), on the campus of Grant High School, serves as a performance venue, community theatre, roadhouse, and classroom for the community of Grant, Michigan. The center has fulfilled numerous roles including musical and theatrical performances, film making, meetings, fundraisers, and many other special events. Students of Grant Public Schools use this facility when taking acting, music, and theatre technology classes or when participating in one of the theatre's many events.  

Construction on this $7.3 million dollar Proscenium-Arch Theatre started soon after its approval by the voters of the community in September of 2002; doors opened in August of 2004. The facility seats nearly 800 people and is the largest of its kind in Newaygo County. The Grant Fine Arts Center's bold glass facade serves as a visual statement of this community's commitment to offering the very best to our students. Thank you, Grant Community! 

Join Us

The GFAC would not be successful without its talented and dedicated team of volunteers. Students from Grant Middle School and Grant High School connect with members of LionHeart Productions and district staff to learn on-the-job skills. Front-of-house management teaches valuable customer service skills, while backstage technician roles teach highly specialized technical skills that set our students apart in the workforce. Through collaborative partnerships, the GFAC turns into a learning laboratory where students and community work and learn together.

Visual Arts

The GFAC boasts a permanent visual arts collection created by Grant Public Schools students. We also welcome artists from the greater community who wish to showcase their work for the general public. 

We welcome you to view the visual art displays before and after GFAC performances and by appointment.
